ENGLISH CLASS REFLECTION
For classes 505, 602 & 603:
Hi guys! The end of the semester is finally here, which brings us to our last assignment; a class reflecion.
From my part, I can say that it’s been great to work with all of you and I can assure you that I learned lots of things from you too. I’m really happy to have had the opportunity of being your teacher because I was able to share with you some of my grammar knowledge, and talk to you about my experience in learning this language. At first, I always get a group of students who feel insecure and unwilling to speak English all the time and participate actively in class, but I sure hope that everything we did in this course has helped you to overcome that fear. I wish we had had more time to practice all those grammar structures that we covered, in real life situations and not just in those suggested by the book. However, I believe it was good semester, being that some of you made new friends to practice your English with and kept faithful to this class by doing your wiki assignments, speaking English all the time, participating on the blog and facebook, as well as playing all those crazy improvisation games. Each one of you has a different level of competency in this language, but I know you are all smart, self-sufficient and visionary students striving to become better each day. For that reason, I’m very glad to have had the opportunity of sharing with you the benefits of becoming independent learners (and hopefully not only for English), through the use of ICT’s. I wish you all the best in all your finals. But remember; cramming for a test is not the best option, for the purpose is not to pass it and accredit a class. The purspose of an exam is to let you know how well you are doing, what you need to polish up and what you really know, so that you can continue improving yourself. So, keep up the good spirit guys and take it easy during this finals week; you’ll do a lot better in all your exams if you keep a cool head, won’t you???
Now, here’s an example of your final video-project which is a reflection about your experience in this english class. Feel free to talk about anything you’d like, but I’d really appreciate it if you mentioned any of the tools, strategies and activities that we employed because it would help me to keep improving my class.
Due date: Saturday midnight, June 1st, 2013 .
Length: 2-3 minutes.
Send via: skydrive, youtube, facebook, e-mail, wiki, blog or flash drive (bring to class on Monday in case you have trouble uploading the video).
